Malted by Root Shoot Malting and distilled and aged by The Family Jones Distillery in Loveland, Colorado, Root Shoot's first-ever Bourbon is distinctly Colorado while showcasing heritage grain and the Centennial farm that grew it. This 4-Year aged single barrel is the only barrel ever produced and made entirely from grains grown on the Olander family farm, featuring a grain bill of 75% Abenaki heritage corn, 15% Oland heritage wheat and 10% Root Shoot Light Munich malt.
The nose is soft with sweet bread and vanilla bean aromas
A rounded sweetness with warm caramel and vanilla sugar cookie. Finishes smooth with soft oak, a hint of spice and lingering turbinado sugar.
Aged in first-use medium char American oak barrels for four years.
Distilled in a traditional pot still, fermented on grain, and bottled at 94 proof.
