Root Shoot Limited Release Series

Upslope Collaboration
A spirited collaboration between Root Shoot Malting and Upslope Brewing. Rooted in agriculture and community, our aged single malt was finished in barrels that once held Upslope Imperial Brown Ale – a beer that was also brewed with Root Shoot malts.
The nose presents honey and caramel sweetness blended with herbal and floral notes, evoking morning dew in an Aspen grove. Hints of vanilla, heather, and dark stone fruits like plums and cherries add depth.
A complex palate evokes roasted malts and earthiness meeting chocolate, dried cherries, and warm spices—vanilla, ginger, and cinnamon—balanced by subtle oak. A soft and warm finish lingers with elegant bakerʼs cocoa and autumn forest tones.
Aged in first-use medium char American oak barrels and finished with a short rest in Upslope Brewing Imperial Brown Ale Barrels.
Distilled in a traditional pot still, fermented off grain, and Bottled-in-Bond at 100 proof.
Sustainable supply-chain journey of only about 30 miles from field to bottle.
From our grain to your glass. 100% locally sourced from our fifth generation family farm.
